Rippa Machinery Ireland ("we", "us") runs this website and is the data controller for personal data collected through it.

What we collect and why
- Quote requests: when you fill in the "Get a quote" form and send it by WhatsApp or email, we record what you enter — your name, email address, mobile number, the machine and any attachments you chose, and any notes — with the page you were on and the time. We use this to reply to you and prepare a quote. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- Contact button clicks: when you tap a WhatsApp or email button, we record which button and machine it was, the page and the time — but not your name or contact details. This shows us which machines people are interested in. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running and improving our business (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Messages you send us: WhatsApp messages and emails reach us through those services and are kept in our WhatsApp and email accounts so we can deal with your enquiry.
- Analytics, only if you agree: if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner we use Google Analytics to see how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser). Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a)). You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
Cookies and similar technologies
- We don't set any cookies unless you accept analytics. If you do, Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_*, which last up to two years.
- We remember your cookie choice in your browser's local storage so we don't have to ask again. This is needed to respect your choice.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal data. These providers process it on our behalf:
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud — hosts this website and stores enquiries (in the European Union).
- Google Analytics — only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Cloudinary — delivers the images on this site and receives your IP address when they load.
- WhatsApp (Meta) and our email provider — when you choose to contact us that way. Their own privacy policies also apply.
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. When they do, they rely on safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to handle your enquiry and any purchase that follows, and delete them within 24 months of our last contact with you, unless we have to keep them longer for legal or tax reasons. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.
Your rights
Under data protection law you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this doesn't affect anything we did before.

If you're not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission: www.dataprotection.ie
Security
Only authorised staff can see enquiries, the site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections, and access to our database is restricted by security rules.
Children
This website is intended for adults and businesses, not for children under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
